Overview
Mount Meru (4,566m) is Tanzania's second-highest peak and an incredible trek in its own right. The climb takes you through Arusha National Park, where you may encounter buffalo, giraffes, and colobus monkeys along the trail. It's also an excellent acclimatization hike before tackling Kilimanjaro. The summit offers breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro at sunrise.
